Little Meadow is one of the best campsites in Britain -The Observer 16.04.06

The Independent on Saturday (23.4.06) rated Little Meadow campsite as 36th best site in the world.

Welcome to Little Meadow Camping and Caravan site - a small uncommercial site unique to the area. We are situated amongst wonderful scenery in a tranquil setting. The site offers spectacular views overlooking the Bristol Channel and the Hangman Hills of Exmoor. With generous pitches (50) on flower bordered plateaux all offering sea views this site is a good base for exploring North Devon and Exmoor. Just sit and watch the changing moods of the sea. Seals, porpoises and basking sharks are frequently seen in our waters and the beautiful coastline has numerous sand and pebble beaches.

 

The South West Coastal footpath runs along the bottom of the site and the nearby coastal resort of Ilfracombe offers trips to Lundy Island, boat and fishing trips, a good selection of pubs, and the Landmark Theatre.

We have three static caravans on the farm as well as three holiday cottages. The static caravan brochure can be downloaded from the statics webpage and info about the cottages is available from the tel no below.

The campsite is open March 20 - Sept 30 2008.

We are currently full for the May Day weekend 2 - 5 May, May 24 - 31 and between July 26 - August 23rd.

It is advisable to make an advance booking - essential during the peak weeks. Bookings are by post only and we are a Sat - Sat bookings only during Whitsun week and the school summer holidays.
